NM Game and Fish website gets a facelift!

Hello all!

With these dreary winter months upon us and the status of the weather in flux the cold tends to keep me inside, daydreaming of warm weather and fishy water. All is not lost however! If you're like me and still have the itch to fish, the Albuquerque Metro area has plenty of options for getting outside and into tight lines during the smaller windows of acceptable weather.

The NMDGF website has been updated and with the much needed face lift come some much appreciated new resources. On the front page you can now easily navigate through new publications, news, online license sales and event calendar as well as find the latest release of the New Mexico Wildlife magazine. I wish the magazine was in e-zine format but the pdf download is well formatted and has a few sparse links back to the web.

The only problem with the magazine is that the most recent issue is from Fall 2014. NMDGF, give the people more content!

One of the best new features is a pdf  download of the Albuquerque Metro area map of riverside drains covering an area from Bernalillo to Belen. These Google Earth satellite maps highlight the drains themselves, feature an inset of a zoomed out view and have clearly named the nearby streets in large text. These features make it easy to plug in some destinations to your phone or car GPS and go straight to where you want to fish. My hope is I will see more of you out there!
